Wow. You do realize you just completely reinforced what was said, right? How do you read an article that says that a man named Joseph Friedrich Blumenbach found some skulls that he believed were so well-formed that he concluded mankind began at the Caucasus region, with white people, and darker-colored people are merely white people who have been sullied through evolution, and conclude “this is a select person’s opinion.”
That’s a fact. That was all factual information.
That really happened. His interpretation spread LIKE fire and that is why white people started using the word Caucasian to refer to themselves. Even worse, people who are actually from the Caucasus region are not considered white in America. Legally, Caucasian was officially made to mean “white skin” in 1920 (and that was also in the article).
How the fuck do you read that and still deny that word is racist? And then you get “offended” when someone dare admit (as in it is a phenomenon that happens and someone is simply calling it to attention) that white people have a trend of being unwilling to empathize with things that don’t affect them.
Not unable; unwilling. You guys are being willfully obtuse when you choose to ignore facts (you literally just ignored facts!!!) just so you won’t have to admit that racism is pervasive.
As in, you could be a decent person and recognize that there’s obviously racial motivation behind the claim that “rappers should stop being misogynists.” You just don’t care about what happens to Black people, because you’re not Black, so you won’t put in any effort at all.
Gonna quickly throw in an epic quote I found on this article.

This is why I find the casting of a white actor in this role to be so repugnant. They are not whitewashing an Asian role, they are saying that the best genetic material that the entirety of this world and it’s diversity has to offer….still comes from a white guy.Reblogging again for that
